Hi. I would like to have some business cards printed. I like the rounded corners I see. I'd also like to have full color printing and on the back too. Any recomendations? I don't mind just emailing the file to a place and have them print and ship it. I'm in California if that matters. Any recomendations?

Aside from rounded corners, which will definately set your card apart, have you thought about foil stamping? or using unique paper?
Reply:The site recommended is probably good. But any print shop should be able to give you rounded corners.
Technically speaking most printing cards are produced on a sheet of 4 or more and cut apart after printing. Then rounding the corners is just a simple process of cutting off the corners. In the old days (prior to 1960 or so) a lot of cards were printed singularly. And rounded corners just required using precut rounded corners.
Don't know what business you're in but cards with mileages, first aid hints, etc. on the back are well received and people tend to keep them a long time.
If you use plain printing I would suggest colored paper. Customers tend to remember them better.

Are There People Who Collect Business Cards Out There?
I was wondering if there are people out there who are business card collectors? Not too many people are so they are hard to find. Can some business cards be worth something especially if they are for defunct businesses?

How do I print business cards on a Lexmark z645?
Everytime I print the cards only 1 card prints. I tried to set up the cardstock but it gives many options for different paper size for the size business cards I want to print. I am unsure of which option to select. I have 10 cards per sheet, 3 1/2 x 2 (standard size) Heavyweight cover stock buisness cards. You can choose from a variety of colors, paper stocks, engraved printing, etc. You can import logos and see how they look online. I use them for personal cards as well as professional business cards. I use the linen stock and it is still under $30 for 1000 cards.
Remember that in addtion to the cost of the cards for the print-at- home kits you are also using up ink and the edges never look really well done. Use a service, it will be cheaper and more professional in the long run.

I have used Excel and Word in the past with decent results and taken them to OfficeMax for printing and it worked fine. It usually cost around $30 for 250 cards there. You can visit www.cootext.com and generate a logo for free to "insert the image" into your Word or Excel card design file. After you create a logo at cooltext.com that you like, right click over the image and save it to your desktop to find it easily.
