Am I allowed to use free clip art to create a logo? I'm looking for a bell?
Where can I find free clip art for my business cards?
Whether you are allowed or not will probably be specified where you find the clipart. For a logo though you will get a better (and more unique) final product if you get one drawn for you – it should be in vector graphics (so it can be scaled) and in cmyk or spot colour (rgb images rarely print well and the printer will have to alter it to print successfully). If you cannot find an illustrator to work within your budget there are cheaper alternatives (but beware they are not all of the best quality).

Reply:Type free clip art into any search engine and about a zillion results will appear. Since the clips are free they can be used for your logo.

Reply:if it helps..try yahoo images...search "bells" find the best u like and then if it is too big but u really want it..save it as and then resize the img..open it with ur business card prog. and paste it ;-)..hope that helps

I want to make my business cards at kinkos. How do I do that if I only have my company logo online and need it
Basically, instead of ordering them from somewhere, I want to make them at Kinko's. I need to use my company's logo, so how can I do that if I only have the logo on the internet? Can you do an internet search at kinkos and copy and paste it there?

You'll get extremely high quality business cards for a very low price. Plus you do everything online and the business cards get shipped to you directly. When it comes to business card printing I always recommend them. There are other companies online but the quality of their business cards just doesn't compare.
If you sill want to go to Kinkos the only way is to go to your site, right-click the image, and click "save image as". Then burn this file to cd and take it to the nearest Kinkos.
As easy as this may sound it's a very bad way of doing it because you do not want to print an image file from the web. Images on the web are low resolution, so the quality of the print will be disappointing. If you can contact the graphic designer who designed your logo ask them to send you a high resoultion JPG or PDF of your logo.
If you can't get in touch with your graphic designer or they simply do not have in on file any longer, you probably will have to hire a new one to recreate the logo file.

well, i can't offer you a sample or anything, but i can lend you some pointers..
modern designs often involve large blocks of color...try adding a few blocks of a checkerboard pattern in complementing colors, for example. or, you could even make the entire card a color with white font or something of the sort.
stay away from serif fonts. they're very traditional looking. go for something simple like arial or helvetica. either look clean and modern
if you want to go really modern, you can scratch the traditional layout of a business card as well. try placing the text in a portrait-style layout rather than landscape, make fonts larger, line it up to the left rather than centered, etc...
