Reply:Don't know where you are based, but very often, large shopping centres have business card machines (Lakeside has one, near House of Fraser I think), where you can create a few on the fly. I think they work out to about 20p each.





These large shopping centres will be open till quite late.

Reply:Try main metro stations or get to your city centre train station there should be a self service kiosk somewhere.Just think where business people normally travel through and there should be a kiosk near by.Since I don't know where you live I cant be specific, but in my city that's where I would go.

I've got a clent that need to get approiximately 500-750 business cards from seasonal trade show attendees organized for import into ACT or QuickBase. Rather then investing clerical support hours at the process of "card scan", their sales team wants to find a resource to handle this function off-site. I'm hopeful that SOMEONE started a company that is good at that kind of stuff?

Any office supply store will have business card scanners that will be a lot less expensive than paying someone to manually input the information. They are easy to hook up, and they work very well.





You should also advise your client to rent a badge scanner from their next trade show organizer. When the show is over you get a CD with all the contact information.

Reply:i don't know a good name, but don't put your home addess on them. one if you move you will have to order new cards, two you don't want everybody knowing where you live, people can't be trusted nowadays.
Reply:Poochy, I won't be giving you any name suggestion for the business card. Business cards, as you know are the most important marketing tool they have to be very, very professional. This 2 x 3.5 sized card can make or break your business, especially since you are operating from home. Get a very professional card, it can be but not necessarily by your own name, think on the long term basis, think of a name/title that you want to keep for long. Also consider the other factors like design, style, color, font, tag line etc.

If by chance you are in Southern Cal, you could actually skip the shipping charge and go pick them up from their location

You start handing out free B cards and your potential customer will know you got a free card, and he will not think very highly of you.

A good PC with the latest versions of graphics Software, such as Adobe Photoshop, and Corel Draw, for the designing part.


A high resolution Laser Colour Printer to get the full-colour printout sheets [usually of A3 size, with 24 'up's of a card on each sheet] of the cards.


A cleaver, to cut and separate the cards.
