I used Avery glossy paper and find that they smudge even when they are a few months old. I turned them over and printed on the flat side and that seems to work fine. When I look for non glossy cards, they all seem to be treated with some sort of film on top and I am worried that they will smudge as well. Any ideas?
How do I get the business cards that I print on my Ink jet not to smudge?
If you are worried about the smudge, you should take it to a place like Staples or OfficeMax. They can help you out with things like that for a small fee.
If you still want to do it yourself, you want to look for a paper for a resume or business writings. They usually are thicker, and will soak up the ink better without leaving it on the surface, and also without wrinkling the paper (which is another thing you have to consider when printing with an inkjet).
Reply:Buy a better printer. Or send it on a email file to a office supply store that has a printing department.
Reply:Try having them print slower by printing on "best" quality. Some printers also have an ink dry setting you can change.
