Compared to offline businesses, the investment required to start an online business is minimal. A popular way of earning money on the internet is by providing information and services. This can be monetised by advertising or charging a subscription. You can also make money online by selling products on auction websites like eBay or through your own website. Where can I find business cards in the shape of a Christian fish?
On your PC if you have Print shop or you can download the graphic on the internet and print up your own. Otherwise, any print place can probably help you.
Reply:You are talking about a die cut and paying for an original is expensive. Since the fish is a common shape, check with novelty printing companies. Good luck.

Adobe Illustrator help to print business cards onto Avery template style paper?
I have create a business card design in Adobe Illustrator but do not know how to print it in a set onto the Avery business card paper with the template 8371. Please help me, thanks.
Adobe Illustrator help to print business cards onto Avery template style paper?
You should set up your file the same size as the paper you are printing on then draw out guides so you know where your artwork will go. Copy and paste your art into each business card.
Be aware that your printer may shift the artwork due to the margins.

What program is better for making business cards, photoshop or illustrator CS2, and why?
Photoshop is for Image Manipulation (jpg, bmp, psd, etc - file formats)
Illustrator is for Vector Graphic Design ( PS, EPS, etc - file formats)
But ....
InDesign is the best for laying out Business Cards, Letterhead, Brochures, etc by pulling in the elements that you created in Photoshop and Illustrator.
But if you only have access to one of the above two programs, go with Illustrator if you know how to use it as it will produce crisper results if you are simply using text and line art in your business card (no pictures allowed).
Good luck with the design.
What program is better for making business cards, photoshop or illustrator CS2, and why?
MSN Photoshop
Reply:Depending on the complexity of the business card, a combination of both. You can do your image manipulation in Photoshop , then place that file in Illustrator and do your type there. The type in Photoshop is not as crisp as the type in a vector-based software like Illustrator, also with Illustrator you can place accurately your crop and bleed marks. If your business card is very simple and it only requires type and maybe be a clip art then Illustrator should be enough.

Does anyone know how to print business cards from an epson rx595?
Just use perforated business card paper which you can purchase at any office supply store. Avery's free Design Pro LE software has a template for business cards.
Does anybody know a website where I can get business cards and stamps for FREE?
It must be Free Delivery too.
Does anybody know a website where I can get business cards and stamps for FREE?
Vista Print offers free business cards, but delivery is usually around $6.00. I don't know anywhere where delivery is free online.
For a cheaper option, if you have a printer at home, you could buy business card stock at an office supply store and design and print your own. Word has a program for business card set up.
Good luck with this.

When making business cards, which trademark symbol do i use and when to use it?
I dont want to make the card and then get sued because I forgot to put a tm
When making business cards, which trademark symbol do i use and when to use it?
Patent is different from trademark and is not relevant to this question. Use the (r) when your trademark has been approved and is registered with the govt. use the (tm) or (sm) before your application has been approved.
HOWEVER, should someone else try to take it, all you have to do is prove that you were using it first, so it doesn't really provide protection until it's registered.
Reply:You have to patent the brand trademark with the government first then you use the patented brand and the trademark symbol next to it.
To tell you the truth I have never seen business cards with trademarks
Reply:Use the TM symbol for trademarks.

Where online can I create free business cards that I can print from my printer?
...and not a crappy one either...maybe a nice fancy one please.
Where online can I create free business cards that I can print from my printer?
I used to print my own, but then I discovered vistaprint. You have to order them instead of printing them directly, but it's much cheaper. I can't buy the ink and cards for what they print them for. They look very professional and you design them yourself. Normally they have a promotional where you get 250 cards for free, you pay only the shipping which is about $4.00. It's a good way to try them out. I'll never go back to using my own ink again!

Reply:Vista print offers free cards - but on the back of the cards it reads something like "Vista Print - where business cards are free" (can't remember exactly) but once you use them - or sign up for a webinar (for small businesses) they have specials where you can get free premium business cards printed and only pay shipping. It is best to sign up for their offers - then they email you with their specials, usually free (except s%26amp;h) printing!

Reply:Yes, you will have to do it yourself with one of many programs. Microsoft is the most common program people have. You cannot have somebody do the designing for you and not get paid. You could look into local schools that offer graphic design and have a student do something for you as practice or a project.

Reply:i'm a small business owner in the uk and i use the american vistaprint site (i use them and not the uk one as they are much cheaper and are shipped over within about 10 days)
however, DO NOT order the free ones when you go on - my best advice is to go to the site http://www.vistaprint.com/ and sign up for their 'exclusive offers' half way down the page on the left.
after a few days you will start to get lots of email offers - wait until you see the "free premium business cards" (you just have to pay postage) then order these instead, they are much better quality and don't have vistaprint's logo on the reverse like the free ones do! it may also be worth upgrading your premium ones to a glossy finish for even better quality.
i have found them to be really useful and now use them for markting as they are much cheaper than having leafltes done, or even printing them yourself!
in my last order i had 140 return address labels, 250 business cards, 250 vertical business cards and 100 postcards and it onl,y came to £12, so at that sort of price you can afford to experiment to see what works best!

Question about the 4/ designation on business cards?
I am trying to order business cards online and an option that I find repeated a lot is the 4/0, 4/1, 4/2, 4/3, or 4/4 option. I am guessing it means colors but i would really like to make sure and a good explanation of this option would really help. Thanks!
Question about the 4/ designation on business cards?
These numbers signify the colors used on the front/back of your print. 4 = Full Color, 1 = Black, 0 = No Printing. Thus 4/4 means full color printing on the front %26amp; back, 4/1 means full color printing on the front with black printing on the back, and 4/0 means full color printing on the front with no printing on the back, not sure about the other numbers.
Reply:These refer to what's known as 4-color process (also known as CMYK). The 4 colors for printing are cyan, magenta, yellow %26amp; black. (As opposed to 3-color for your computer monitor, which is RGB - red, yellow, green)
The first number is the colors on the first panel (the front of the card) and the second number would be the color on the second panel (the back). If you are only having the front of the card printed, this would be 4/0. If you were to have the front printed %26amp; just black text on the back, it would be 4/1. If both sides were printed in full color, it would be 4/4.

If you have Microsoft Word installed, you've already got the ability. You can buy blank sheets of cardstock, perforated into business card sizes.
In Word, select Tools, then Letters %26amp; Mailings, then Envelopes %26amp; Labels, then the Labels tab, then Options. Under Product Number, scroll down till you see 8371 - Business Card. Choose the number that matches the number of the Avery card stock that you bought.
It will generate a template for you to fill in with your business card information.
Word is the only one I know, though, so if there are other programs for the same thing (and surely there must be) I don't know anything about them.

Should I get some business cards?
I recently joined the Accounting Society at my university and will attend a lot of banquets in the future, starting next week, and will be networking with some of the accounting firms (a.k.a my future recruiters). Should I get some business cards for myself so I can give it to some of the firms? Or would they immediately toss them in the trash?
Should I get some business cards?
If it is standard at your school for members of the Accounting Society to use business cards at these events, I'd do it. You certainly don't want to stand out as being LESS prepared than the others.

Where can I print my business cards on cardboard effect cards in the UK?
Any decent printer should be able to print on your selected stock, if they can't get your specification approach the stockists direct.
A really impressive, tactile effect can be gained by using letterpress rather than litho.
Paper stockists –
One of my favourites is GF Smith, they will send samples if you brief them on your requirements.

Robert Horne are another option

Do CA notaries must disclose their commission number on business cards?
I read the handbook and talked to the SEc of state, but they were not able to help me with this question: are calif notaries required to disclose their commission number on biz cards (ex: realtors and insurance agents must)... and second: is there a restriction of how many titles I may print in one biz card ex: if I'm a certf paralegal or an event planner, can I also put that on teh same card as "Notary Public" ?
Do CA notaries must disclose their commission number on business cards?
1. Notaries in CA do not have to disclose their commission numbers on business cards. Realtors also are not required, because commission is always negotiable between the parties involved.
2. There is no restriction to the number of titles or certifications you print on a business card. It may not look as professional if you include your hair styling certification on your notary business card, but nobody will stop you.
Reply:lawclerk's answer is incorrect--the commission number for a notary is different from the commission a realtor/real estate agent makes in selling a house. A realtor's license number (equivalent to a notary's commission number) is typically required on a realtor's business cards... Report Abuse

Reply:I used VistaPrint and it was free for 250 cards with a small Vistaprint add on the back of each card. I was surprised at easy it was and how functional the cards looked when they arrived a few days later. I hate to recommend a for profit company here but I will say they did what they said they would and it was free. Hope this helps.
Reply:Use Microsoft Publisher. You can buy it for $30 at Fry's or other stores with software. Publisher makes it easy to make buisness cards. You also have to buy special paper for the printer available at many office stores. It can be used on any printer.
Reply:There is business card making software with which you can create your business cards, pictures, text and all.
Then you can print them 10 up on special card paper that splits apart easily.

What things/information makes the best business cards?
A catchy slogan, your business name, address, phone number, fax number (if you have one), and email address and a website address.
What things/information makes the best business cards?
A bright caption with an attention getter that describes your business. You first off want people to pick up the card and read it then an offer will make them choose you .The normal mundane phone name etc on the back .
Reply:Use a catchy slogan and have a photo of yourself (hey, an avatar!).

Does anyone know the difference between card stock when talking about business cards?
There are many kinds of card stock used for business cards.
The higher the #, the thicker (more sturdy) they are. For example, a 28# card stock is thicker than a 20# stock.
There is a smooth stock, which is like an index card, a linen stock, which is a small woven like textured stock, and a laid stock which is a textured stock but without a pattern (like the linen stock).
I order all my cards from www.staples.com. On the right side of the page there is a "custom printing" choice, click that, then go to the custom printing section...you can design the card, make your changes and view it before ordering it.
Good luck
Does anyone know the difference between card stock when talking about business cards?
They are categorized by weight and texture.
Heavier is more expensive and so is textured.
Reply:Sure, there's 80#, 110#, different colors, appearances and textures. What specifically do you want to know?
Reply:card stock paper is stiffer than regular paper..
Reply:There are different weights, textures, what the paper is made with. Gloss finish, matte finish, etc. Color of paper. I have even seen some made from a very thin plastic.
Card stock depend on what it is made with to determine the weight. Something in a gloss may have a higher weight but be thinner than a standard paper with a lower weight.
Best advice go down to a print shop and they will have samples of each to show you.
Reply:It comes in weight. The higher the weight of the card stock, the pricier the cards are to make. It's better if you can go in person and feel the different paper for the cards before ordering. You may like a less expensive one than what you liked on the internet.

In California, is a paralegal allowed to have their name on a law firm's letterhead and business cards?
Can you tell me where it says so in the law?
In California, is a paralegal allowed to have their name on a law firm's letterhead and business cards?
Yes, there is no law which says this...most of the time, though, if it's on the letterhead, it will have your name listed as a paralegal (partners/senior management on the left, associates on the right, and a paralegal would be in the area where it says "from the desk of..." with your title)...
So, it wouldn't be on the permanent letterhead, but within the template that the firm uses.
Yes, you can have your name on a business card (very common) which lists your title (paralegal)
Reply:So long as the paralegal is specifically identified as being a paralegal on the letterhead and business card, it is OK.
Reply:Do your own homework. Read Cal. Bus. %26amp; Prof. Code 6450 et seq. and then look in the index of your textbooks for the information about paralegals not being permitted to have an ownership interest in law firms...you will find citations in your textbook.
Reply:I don't believe that there is a law against it but a paralegal is not an attorney and cannot practice law therefore if the name was represented as a partner or as such then this would be misleading and could be construed as misadvertising which would be illegal.
Reply:When I was a law clerk I had business cards which stated the firm that I worked at and my title. As far as the messages above...there is a law which forbids any non-licensed person from owning an interest (or, being a partner) in a law office -so that would rule out a paralegal as well. Chances are though, if we're talking about a large firm, they will not put paralegals on the letterhead. The positioning of name placement on the letterhead is highly coveted and I don't see egotistical lawyers giving up space to a paralegal.
Reply:I am not for sure if that is even a law anywhere...maybe I am wrong. However, if a paralegal is a partner of the firm, then I would suspect their name would be put up there, but I have never heard of a law firm making a paralegal a partner, but I could be wrong.
Reply:There's no law says they can't, although it's unusual.

How can a home business accept debit / credit cards?
I am trying to start up a home business selling customized, beaded wedding glasses. Since these are special orders, I want to be able to secure payment before starting the work. How can I be able to accept credit and / or debit cards?
How can a home business accept debit / credit cards?
There are a bunch of companies that offer this service via an easy, Internet interface. So you can take the credit card info, log into your account, enter the credit card info, validate the number and amount, and make the transaction.
These are called "merchant accounts" and there are many out there so you need to comparison shop. One issue is that it will take some paper work and bank account confirmation to go through. They have a risk of you charging money, getting that money on the whole thing turning out to be a fraud.
My point is that it will take time and some paperwork to get it setup and running.
Reply:You get what is called a merchant account. A merchant account allows you to accept credit or debit card, and you wll be given the card swiping machine. You can choose to have the customer swipe it in the machine, or you can input the credit card information of the buyer (called "card not present" transaction -- typically higher fees)
The best rates often are those from the bank. However, they are more difficult to get. They look at your credit history. Some banks will even ask for a business plan
Costco also offers good rates for their merchant account. If you can't get one from a bank, check out Costco's rates (especially if you are an executive member)
There are also some merchant account providers such as CardService International http://www.cardservice.com/ that you can check out
Reply:Yahoo offers small business a merchant services and it cost so much less. Read this for yourself and call around to other merchants; i'm sure you will end up using Yahoo's
You can also accept paypal with this service

Reply:I have quickbooks, and I used their system, they charge me a monthly fe of 18.00 plus a percentage for every transaction..

I have a box of out-of-date business cards, what can I do with them?
The email address is no longer valid and I paid $30 for a thousand of them of which I probably have 800 left. Any craft ideas?
I have a box of out-of-date business cards, what can I do with them?
Use them to cut stencils out of? :o
Or you could wind thread around them for embroidery, etc. Just cut notches in the ends.
Or you could go crazy and glue stuff to them and make tiny, tiny holiday cards n_n
Can always use them to test different mediums on (scrap paper for testing paints/colors/finishes, etc)
Reply:For myself, I'd use them to make tags for scrapbooking. Maybe some crafters could use them.
Or bookmarks, magazine marks.
Reply:You could easily donate them to the closest school or club for kids, where they can use it for art projects.
Or you could even make a little card game out of them (the kind of cards you'd get from monopoly.) Plus, the game could either be adult oriented (with your love one,) or something that could be play with kids (like, mix or match the aliens/bodies/styles/ect.)
Reply:i would use them for notes or recycle them
Reply:can you use a lable maker to cover up the old email addy?
or just use a blk marker to cover it up
Reply:Our you can send them to a collector to be used for trading stock or prizes for games that collectors have from time to time.As a collector of business cards if I have any extra's then I trade with other collectors for different cards...So I could always use extra cards .

what is used on home printed business cards to get a faux gloss finish?
Faux gloss for home printed business cards?
Buy glossy paper at an office supply store, but make sure your printer can print on that type of paper. Some papers are not compatable with certain printers so they end up smudging.
Reply:Not sure what you mean, but if the whole thing is somewhat shiny, it's probably just the paper that's used. If it's just the text, it could be a photocopy used with "heat transfer paper" on top.

I’m in South Africa.
Is there another secure way of receiving payments that I could consider?
How do I step up a business to accept credit cards? Thru our website and manually?
There are a number of ways to go about accepting credit cards.
The first step would be setting up a website to showcase what you want to sell.
Secondly sign up for a secure server certificate from Verisign/Thawte
Then sign up with a payment gateway like paypal(paypal provides services only to accredited companies and NOT individuals in SA) you will get a customised payment link and nstructions to link your site securely with theirs.

Where can I find free templates to print my own business cards?
For the most basic card, try using the Labels in Microsoft Word. It's under Tools - Letters and Mailings - Envelope and Labels. Click Options and scroll down to product number 5371 (business cards) and click OK. Enter the info you want printed on the cards, then click New Document. You can edit the cards individually at this point. Be sure you use the correct paper - Avery 5371 or comparable. If you have different paper, check to see if they have that product number in Word.
For something a bit more creative, do you have Microsoft Publisher? There's a business card template there that is more flexible.
If neither of those options work for you, or if you want something more specific, there are literally hundreds of software programs out there. Many have free trials, so you could download one, give it a try, print what you want, and (if you like it) buy it later. Or just try another one next time. Search for "business card software."

I work for a print shop and I know they give free templates when customers ask...contact them;

They are very nice.
Reply:If you want to print them yourself on your own printer, I would check out:

There is a free business card maker that generates a PDF that prints 10 cards per page and works with Avery paper etc. or cut out yourself.
Reply:I love Vista Print. They have free offers for new customers. Go to www.vistaprint.com . They have a wide variety of options. Good luck to you.

Hi yahoo, do I need to register a biz before I can do and hand out [business] cards?
I feel that I can assist a lot of people to get important things done, but do not necessarily want to establish a business, but want to do it in a professional manner.

I have a small business which I advertise via craigs list, flyers, brochures, business cards, word of mouth?
Sometimes I put a small advertisement in our local newspaper, I am also listed under my specialty in the Vermont Holistic Guide on the net. The question is....How can I reach alot of people for a small amount of money..It is a very small business and because of the nature of it, I don't plan on expanding it to more than a few hundred dollars a week.......It has to be a very simple process...
I considered Yellow Book, but it appeared to be very pricy....
Thanks!

well, you need the word Gateau in it. This is French for cake. So you could think of "un morceau du gateau" which means, a piece of cake.. or "gateaux Uniques".. which means unique cakes.. something like that.
Reply:Oui, Cakes......
Reply:How about "La Maison de Gateau" I think that means "the House of Cake" Or "La Petit Patisserie" "The Little Bakery"?
Reply:"beaux gateaux" means "beautiful cakes," and it rhymes. pronounced "boh gah-toh."

Reply:Hi,
Well, you're not forced to use the word "gâteaux"...
I suggest "Les délices de (your name)": ltteraly the delights of... In French, "délices" refers to something delicious, as you probably guessed, and this terme is often used to describe a very good dish.
If you chose to use the word "gâteaux", you could use "La maison du gâteau" (litt. the house/place of cakes), "Au paradis des gâteaux" (cake's heaven) ,"Au pays des gâteaux" (although "pays" (land) is triter than "paradis"). These names convey more an image of specialist. I suppose your cakes are rather original, so " Au paradis des gâteaux" seems more appropriate.
Anyway, I suggest you use a name with several words. Terms alone like "sucrée", as mentioned earlier, do not convey much meaning... Furthermore, the use of several nouns separated by a "de" or "du" is typically French.
I have to eat now, you made me hungry... ;)
Reply:The naming of your business could be one of the most important decisions you will make. A name's originality and legal availability will create a real asset value of its own, as it becomes marketed and gains market acceptance.
The name you choose will become the focal point of all the benefits and features that relate to your business. Customers will be able to find and refer others to it in the future.
Since any names that are suggested here may already be owned by another party, I wanted to go a different route...
I suggest either hiring a name creation firm or get together with your friends and/or family and throw a "name party" %26amp; have everyone bounce some ideas around. Compile a listing of names that you like the best. Once you have that list, do as much free research as you can before you delve into comprehensive research.
I listed some links where you can do some preliminary name checking. However, please be aware that this is merely scratching the surface of what's out there.
Only comprehensive research will tell you if the name is truly available. But, these links are free %26amp; a great place to start, so I'd try them out first.
Comprehensive research consists of looking at marks that are similar in Sound, Appearance or Meaning in the pending %26amp; registered Federal AND State trademark files as well as the US National Common-Law files.
There are other sites that offer free searching capabilities in conjunction with their commercial services, so I'm not able to post those links due to the Yahoo! TOS. You'll also want to check domain names %26amp; yellow pages, so simply do a search for "free domain name search" and "national yellowpages" and the appropriate links will pop up.
Hope that helps! I wish you much success %26amp; happiness in all your ventures!

Reply:"La vie en Gateaux" pops to mind. You know, because it incorporates the French phrase "la vie en rose" with coffee/cake terms. Or you could call it "Gateaux Miams" (Yummy Cakes). "ce côté de ciel" means "this side of heaven". I think it's pretty. Good luck with your new business!

Why do realtors include their picture on their business cards?
only other profession I can think that people do this is models and the like...
Why do realtors include their picture on their business cards?
Because they are selling themselves rather than a product or service. If you go through a stack of business cards of people you met in the last six months, you will more often than not look at the card and say, "Who in the world was that person?" The picture reminds you who the person was and possibly where you met and what you talked about.
Reply:Because model and agents have one product: themselves. Models obviously do it because they are trying to sell their look. Agents, however, put their picture on it to show you who they are and to make themselves more personable.
Reply:Sales attitude
they meet people away from office and want positive id
put photo in sales newsletters also
Reply:maybe so that you can recognize them in a big office?
Reply:Personality is an important part of a residential real estate agent's skills...and a photo on a business card gives it that "personal touch" ..home buyers and sellers each want to think of their agents as their friend and confidant in what can be a very daunting process in their lives...

Is starting a business designing business cards profitable?
It actually depends on whether or not you are printing them too. I run a printshop and it's somewhat profitable if people order them by the thousands. People don't really go for the perferated ones because they don't look very professional. Some people go for the free business cards online. Some go for really great designs and unique-ness.
If all you're doing is designing them, then probably not. If you are designing and printing them, it depends on the quality of the print and price per thousand.
Is starting a business designing business cards profitable?
yes if you have a need in an market

Reply:Remember so many companies out there already offer business cards to memebers of their company, %26amp; so many others plain %26amp; simply offer free business cards...you may have to pay $4.99/shipping but think about that's not much to most people, so unless your business makes 1000cards for less than $4.99 probably not...if money making is your goal check out the link it may assist you in all your endeavors

If all you're doing is designing them, then probably not. If you are designing and printing them, it depends on the quality of the print and price per thousand.

How does a business start excepting credit cards that has never taken credit cards before ?
we have a small business and want to start excepting credit cards as payment but don't know where to start ?? do I call the bank or visa or master card ??
How does a business start excepting credit cards that has never taken credit cards before ?
You need a merchant service account. There are many companies out there that can provide this for you. I would search google for "merchant services" this should give you a lot of choices. Be careful though! The merchant service industry makes there money trying to confuse their clients. There are different rates for swiping a card or punching the numbers in manually. If a customer uses a reward card you are going to pay a higher rate. You MUST shop these rates against at least three companies. Good Luck!
Reply:Call a few of your local area banks. Some do credit card transaction processing.

Are you looking for something where you can work from home?If you're really serious about looking for something, check this one out, it's a presentation that tells about the company,(Photomax) if you like what you see, you fill the form out and someone will get back in touch with you right away. You just never know what might be the one for you, you just have to shop around. But some are scams and you need to be careful. Shop around, do research and check with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). Check them out to see if they're legit or have complaints.
That's what I did and I'm working from the comfort of my own home. I love it and it's a great opportunity for additional streams of income. You can check it out, go to

How can I make Babysitting Business Cards on Microsoft Word.?
I have a Windows XP. I am Safe Sitter Certified and had been trained in infant/child CPR and in infant/child choking rescue
How can I make Babysitting Business Cards on Microsoft Word.?
The blank business cards you have should have an ID number in front of the box. For example if it is an Avery product it typically has a 4 digit product ID. Once you get the ID number do the following steps.
-Go to Tools
-Envelope and Labels
-Go to the Label tab
-Click on the box where you see the ID product number
-scroll down to look for you product number and click ok
-Go to new document (I believe this is easier than creating one by one cards.)
-Then you will see the template in front of your. Start typing away.
Good Luck.

How do I format a document to print business cards?
I bought some 'print your own' business cards from PC papers by AMPAD. The cover reassured me that all I had to do was - and I quote - "use your computer layout software to design your cards". Unfortunately, neither the packet nor the website had any instructions on how to do so. Going to Tools, Envelopes and Labels on Microsoft Word didn't help - It doesn't match the style of the perforated sheets. Help, please!!
How do I format a document to print business cards?
Try the Avery website or Microsoft, they have several templatesfor the purpose of making business cards.
Reply:Try the free Avery Design Pro software, it should work.

What are 3 good ways to advertise with business cards?
1. Use the backside of the business card as a coupon so that it will bring them to the business.
2. Make the business card something useful like a calendar on the back or something that lists holidays so that they will continue to look at it.
3. The business card should be iconic and possibly if you can direct you to a Web site that tells more about you. The alternative is a CD or flash media business card which can a media presentation of your business.
What are 3 good ways to advertise with business cards?
1) Take them to a stadium and sit in the upper bowl and throw many handfuls down. You'll probably get busted by the stadium, but if you don't mind that, you're golden. You could also make the people below you angry. Depends on how much you care.
2) Depending on what your business is, go to a place where you know many people who might be interested in your services will be and put them on their cars.
3) Go to small and busy businesses that are used by your target consumer in your target area and ask them if they'd mind if you put some card holders on their counters. Pick businesses that aren't competitive, obviously.

I always ask my customers how they heard about me. The other day a guy said " oh, this is my buddies house you just picked me up at. Your business card was stuck to his fridge."
3. Use a good, heavy card stock. Don't make the cheap ones at home. And use as many bright colors as possible. This minimizes the chance of your card getting filed in the trash can!

Can I insert my Business Cards in magazines?
I want to know if I can get in trouble for doing that.
Can I insert my Business Cards in magazines?
Possibly.. because the publisher didn't approve. But my husband (a car salesmen) sometimes puts his card on other vehicles for sale.. not sure there's much differnce there.
Reply:You can get in trouble with book stores. I had a friend who was told to do that by her upline.... Barnes and Noble called her and told her they preferred she not come into their store again.
Why be sneaky about it... some businesses will let you leave your cards out in a stack... If you start going to offices that have a lot of magazines and insert your card into more than one... the office staff is eventually going to catch on and start throwing them away...

Reply:Hm.. I think yes you can do that..
Reply:Yeah, why be sneaky about it? What's your cost to print your business cards? $50 - $100 for 1,000 right? So, what's the cost for a sneaky way to try and advertise? If you put a legitimate ad in a publication that reaches your target demographic with a good marketing message %26amp; call to action, you may be paying less than the cost of a business card with the amount of exposure you get.
For example, 1 business card might cost you 5 cents to print. But, an ad in a publication, or on a website or other venue that reaches your demographic might cost you only 2 cents per viewer.

Reply:Many people use their business cards as book marks ( I know I do). This is great as you can leave them hanging over the edge like you were reading that page. If anyone asks or complains, you were simply marking the page. You can even read an article from that page just so you would be honest when you say it.
But many offices that have magazines in them will allow you to leave a stack of them in their office if you ask them. That's what I do so that I can leave a lot more there. You may be surprised how often you have to replace them as they will go quickly.
I have also let my little granddaughter, who loves drawing (and very good at it) use my cards to draw on the back of them. Then, she gives the pictures away to her teachers and such. Of course, they are going to look on the back of the picture and see the business card!
There are many different ways to get your cards in front of others if you get really creative!
Best of luck!

What credit cards will my business be able to accept?
I have a small business and want to increase credibility, customer convenience on sales by accepting credit cards. Statistics say accepting credit cards can increase sales by 30 to 100% .What credit cards will my business be able to accept?
What credit cards will my business be able to accept?
As a business, the four major credit cards are the ones that you can accept. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
When wanting to set up an account, you must first consult with the acquiring bank to asses your business. This will allow the merchant to asses what kind of fees and charges you will be required to pay for each transaction (they take a percentage of each total sale.)
They will review:
your business history and performance
business accounts
your forecast turnover
average transaction values
transaction frequencies
the type of goods you sell
the proportion of transactions you expect to receive by phone or online
your suppliers' details
how you deliver your goods or services
It takes between one and four weeks to open a merchant account. The process may take slightly longer for start-up businesses and banks may want to see additional information such as a business plan and cashflow forecasts.
Reply:There are many options available depending on what type of business you have. In addition to the top 4 : VISA/MC/Discover/AMEX, you may also have Diners Club if you have a resturaunt. If you have a convenience store offering gasoline, you may also want to consider Fleet cards such as Fuelman and Voyager.
There are a few requirements for new businesses to complete before they can process cards:
Business License
Business Bank Account
Fair Credit if you have retail business
Good credit if you have Internet business
For the major accounts (Visa %26amp; MC) your pricing will differ greatly depending on the type of transactions you take. Such as:
How you take payment: Mail, telephone, In person Swipe
What type of customers do you service: Business or Individual
What ever the case you can expect to pay somwhere between 2.50 - 3.00% of the dollars you sell through credit cards. You will also find that most proceesors will charge you for the equipment to process the cards.

What are some of the best things you've seen printed on the back of business cards?
I'm tired of reading: "A referral is the best compliment..." That's junk! I need something that will make people WHAT to keep my biz card on their body and hopefully show friends, such as jokes, Calendar, CPR instructions, etc.

My Grandfather and a few other people I have met, put a small bio on the back of their cards. This is nice for a few reasons..It will be unique, it lets you get to know the person a bit (which can be quite helpful if you are thinking of employing this person for services), and the person how gets the card will be way more apt to remember who you are...Also you can throw in a humorous antic-dote...leave 'em laughing.

Very cool but no idea where to get them from.

Reply:It's not very exciting, but to be honest, the cards I hold onto have a year-long calendar on them. I stick those things in the visor in my cars, my wallet, etc. I really haven't had a use for other cards yet.
Could depend on the type of business you have as to what the options are.

If you're willing to design them yourself there's hundreds of applications to help you with this, and you can then just take the design to the printers to have it printed.
Not only does it save shipping, but you get control.
Reply:www.vistaprint.co.uk - they will do 250 business cards for FREE. You just pay postage!

Reply:www.vistaprint.com is good, but i found www.goodprint.com is very good and after your first order they send you promotional codes for up to 50% off further orders! They are very promt and excellent quality!
Can you recommend a specific contact or website to produce business cards and stationery? Thanks?
If you live in North America or Europe, I'd recommend Staples Business Depot.

Before getting all of them into print, they'll produce a proof of your design which you can then approve.
Great Customer Service.

Is there a site where I can make business cards and then print them out on my home computer...free???
I am moving to England and tomorrow is my last day of school. I really wanted some type of business card I could make to give to my friends. However, I have no clue where to go to make them. I just want to make them and then be able to print them out on my printer...because obviously I don't have time to order them.
Please help! I really want to keep in touch with my friends.

Any kind of publishing or word processing will work. You can just make up simple wording to fit in the size of a card, then duplicate it on the same page, 2 columns, 5 rows. You can fit 10 on a page. Buy perforated sheets of business cards to put in the printer or print on thick paper and cut on a paper cutter or with scissors.

PROB IN YOUR MICROSOFT WORKS
Reply:I recommend vistaprint too, but one thing the above forgot to mention is that the printing is free. You'll have to pay for shipping. But that starts at $5.00. So for 250 cards, full color, thats an excellent price. More info below

Reply:yah microsoft works should do the job.
Reply:You can actually use the text boxes in word to set up business card forms on your computer and get the forms from your local office supply store.
