When making business cards, which trademark symbol do i use and when to use it?

I dont want to make the card and then get sued because I forgot to put a tm

When making business cards, which trademark symbol do i use and when to use it?
Patent is different from trademark and is not relevant to this question. Use the (r) when your trademark has been approved and is registered with the govt. use the (tm) or (sm) before your application has been approved.





HOWEVER, should someone else try to take it, all you have to do is prove that you were using it first, so it doesn't really provide protection until it's registered.
Reply:You have to patent the brand trademark with the government first then you use the patented brand and the trademark symbol next to it.





To tell you the truth I have never seen business cards with trademarks
Reply:Use the TM symbol for trademarks.
